JBU - VRF Controls

Please join us at JBU for the VRF Controls overview!

We will focus on the varying application of controls for Variable Refrigerant Flow Systems. The focus of this class will be to familiarize design engineers and design build contractors on how to apply VRF controls to meet the expectation of their customers. VRF controls have undergone a substantial evolution in years past, offering much more diverse and flexible options than ever before.

  • Basic understanding of the controls offerings from unit level controllers, proprietary controllers, and open protocol controllers

  • Application specific controls

    • Condominium w/ third party thermostat control

    • Retail/office control

    • Hotel control w/ occupancy and lighting

    • Front end graphics

    • DDC diagnostics for early warning

  • Lessons learned

This class is intended for those familiar with VRF systems, their application and system architecture. The focus will be on applying controls specifications and sequences of operations that meet the needs of different applications.
